Therapy for Moms
A Judgment Free Space for Moms…
…because people are excited about you having kids, but no one tells you how hard it is! I’m a mom too, so I understand that loving your kid(s) to the moon and back and wanting to hide in a closet to have 5 minutes of peace can exist in the same space. That doesn’t make you a bad mom! Society, cultural norms, and our own family can make it hard to express feelings about the stress and strain of motherhood without feeling as though you will be judged. Bottling up those emotions is not healthy. At The Blooming Space, I welcome you to unpack those emotions, thoughts, and anxieties with me so that we can work through them together to ensure that you are healthy, feel supported, and that you know how to advocate for your own needs.
I am here to support moms through the various phases of motherhood. Whether you and your partner are simply planning to have a baby and you want to prepare for how it may impact their relationship, you’re currently pregnant and aren’t feeling like yourself, you’ve had your sweet baby and you are experiencing symptoms of postpartum depression/anxiety, or you’re raising a teenager that you just don’t understand. I’m here and ready to support you and your family!
If you are a mom who lives in Texas and you are searching for a secure and understanding environment to navigate the challenges of motherhood, I invite you to join The Blooming Space family. For your convenience, all therapy sessions are offered virtually. You may book weekly or bi-weekly appointments, whichever works best with your lifestyle. Insurance is not accepted at this time, but a Super Bill can be provided to you for reimbursement from your insurance carrier. Check out the FAQ page to learn more about this.

What does therapy look like?
Step 1: Book a Session
Book a session by clicking on the “Work With Me” button on this site. Once your session is booked, I will send intake forms to you electronically. Intake forms must be completed and submitted prior to our first session. This will allow us to dive right into doing the work that’s meaningful to you. Also, I really want you to take your time and not feel rushed when completing the forms. The information that you provide me with will set the foundation for our work together.
Step 2: Our 1st Session
During our first session, I will use the information from your intake paperwork to guide me in further assessing your needs and creating a personalized treatment plan for you. I will also take some time to go over the Informed Consent for Treatment and will answer any questions that you may have about The Blooming Space’s policies. Just like any other relationship, you and I will spend a lot of time getting to know each other. I welcome you to bring all of the things into the therapeutic space that make you uniquely who you are!
Step 3: Your Therapy Journey
All of our sessions will be held virtually, weekly or bi-weekly. This will make it easier to prioritize our time together. During each session, we will continue to unpack your emotions, thoughts, and experiences. As we continue to pull back those layers, your journey will deepen and I will guide you in developing practical skills and coping strategies that will move you closer to your therapeutic goals.
We will work together during your journey. This means that your expertise on YOU is important to me! I believe that you have everything inside of you to BLOOM into the version of yourself that you want to be. To get you there, we will be collaborative partners. This means that I will frequently ask for your feedback to be sure that what we are doing is working for you. Based on your feedback, we will make adjustments to your treatment.
Step 4: Termination
Once all of your therapeutic goals have been met, you’ve maintained progress, and you feel confident in your ability to continue using the tools and coping skills learned during therapy we will discuss terminating your therapy services. We’ll make sure that you have a plan in place for when things get really hard, we’ll review your strengths, and go over the therapeutic tools that work best for you. The length of time that it takes to get to the termination phase will vary from person to person, but my goal as your therapist is to get you to a place where you no longer need me! No doubt, I’ll miss working with you, but knowing that you are better is the ultimate prize. If you ever feel as though you need therapy again, you’re always welcomed to come back!
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost one day before your medical service. Under the law, mental health providers need to give patients who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services such as therapeutic services. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your good faith estimate you can dispute the bill. For more questions or information about your right to Good Faith Estimate visit www.cms.gov/no surprises or call The No Surpises Help Desk at 1-800-985-3059.
